Here's my predictions on who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

Well it's that time of the the year, In February the RRHOF had announced the 17 nominees up for induction into the Hallowed Halls in 2022. I got to say I'm so impressed that the Hall went hard with the choices for this year, I think this could be the shot for several of the nominees being inducted through special categories in the long run. Well with that said, here's what I think the Hall will induct six performers into this institution. Here it goes!

Nominees:

Beck

Pat Benatar

Kate Bush

Devo

Duran Duran

Eminem

Eurythmics

Judas Priest

Fela Kuti

MC5

New York Dolls

Dolly Parton

Rage Against the Machine

Lionel Richie

Carly Simon

A Tribe Called Quest

Dionne Warwick

Who I think will be inducted:

Eminem - He'll be 100% guarantee & lock for induction by November 2022. He's too popular & influential to be passed over for the honor especially in his FYE.

Duran Duran - There's a lot of hype about them in recent years & with their latest release of Future Past & their performance at ACL. I think it's safe to say that with the Go Go's induction last year, this year will be DD's year & might headline the ceremony in November along with Eminem.

Dolly Parton - Sure her decline of the nomination is pretty much hurting her chances of possible induction this year but she's doing very well in the overall voting & given the fact that there's not a lot of country acts in there the Hall would put her in despite her wishes anyway.

Rage Against the Machine - Well it's their 4th nomination & I'm predicting that this will be their final shot since they were past over for induction 3 times before & there has been a number of 90's bands that were inducted in the last few years. Also given the fact that the ceremony is in their hometown of L.A & their tour is this year, let them have their induction this time so we can move on to other acts of the 90's decade who are still waiting for consideration: Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins etc.

Pat Benatar - A lot of people were shocked when Benatar didn't get inducted in 2020 & didn't make a return last year but this year might be different since she's also doing well in the votes & now that Tina Turner is finally inducted she might have a clear shot for this year.

A Tribe Called Quest - Now another rap act up for induction this year, heck maybe we can have 2 rappers being inducted at the same time & the Hall did that with Jay - Z & LL Cool J last year (even though they put the latter in the different category) so yeah ATCQ are also doing well in the voting so yeah let this be their year.

Wild Card:

Judas Priest - Now the Metal genre has been completely ignored by the voting committee for a long time & it's their 3rd nomination this year, also the institution knows that they can't keep passing the genre over & over again & this time may be different. With the ballot being less classic rock & somewhat if they go with 7 performers then Judas Priest would be the one.

The Rest:

Beck - I personally never thought that Beck would be nominated so soon especially this year & now that he's nominated, his chances for induction are not an all time high plus because there are other 90's acts still waiting for their call I would say that he might wait for another few more years to finally get it.

Kate Bush - Very deserving of induction & she checks everything needed for it (well expect for commercial success maybe), but because the Hall is so US centric & normally inducts UK acts that have popularity over here, the only way I would see her getting in is by putting her into the non - voting categories like "Award for Musical Excellence" so that she could have a chance without being nominated.

Devo - I actually thought that these rockers from Akron, OH would be nominated for 3rd time whenever the ceremony comes back to Cleveland but I was off by that because it's their third one this year & due to the fact that they were nominated alongside Duran Duran (in which they have the most chances so far), I don't see that happening for them this year. The Hall would pretty much eventually put them in AME like Bush above.

Eurythmics - They're back on the ballot again & this time there's a 50/50 for their inclusion mostly because they were nominated alongside DD & there hasn't been any hype about them for a long while so they might be returning one more time in the near future.

Fela Kuti - The most "obscure" act to be nominated, he had influence over honorees like Talking Heads & Peter Gabriel, he was nominated last year & came strong at 2nd place in the Fan Vote but he didn't get in & for this year his chances are at an all time low just like Beck & the only way is the AME or Early Influence.

MC5 - Well at this point, I think this iconic band had pretty much exhausted their chances & this year would be no different. Heck come to think of it, they're likely going to be following Kraftwerk in Early Influence because the Hall is definitely moving on from the 60's & the 70's would end soon. That could be said for other artists of those decades.

New York Dolls - Unlike MC5, they haven't exhausted their nominations but might be following them & Kraftwerk in Early Influence, however maybe they should have one more shot to be inducted as performers since the ceremony would be returning in NYC next year I think.

Lionel Richie - He inducted Clarence Avant last year & this is his first nomination & with that said, I would rather see him getting inducted with The Commodores not on his own because it's going to leave out a huge part of the story.

Carly Simon - I actually never thought about her consideration & with that said, I don't think she has a big chance this year. Carole King got inducted last year but that's not an guarantee. So put Simon in AME.

Dionne Warwick - As i said before, the 60's are done for nominations so Warwick would eventually be in one of the non - voting categories so the Hall could move on  nominating & inducting the 80's, 90's & pretty much soon 00's.

Anyways these are my predictions.
